Dr. Barker earned his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and his DDS from the University of Utah School of Dentistry. Fluent in Spanish, he spent two years serving a mission in Argentina, an experience that deepened his commitment to service and his ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. He has also participated in multiple dental mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Mexico, with a continued focus on service and outreach.
Dedicated to lifelong learning, Dr. Barker regularly pursues advanced training in fields such as implant dentistry, Invisalign, and sedation dentistry. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association and the renowned Academy of General Dentistry.
Originally from St. George, Utah, Dr. Barker brings the warmth and character of the desert Southwest to Tennessee through Desert Rose Dental, and has designed his practice to blend refined care with genuine Southern hospitality. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, staying active, and playing sports such as pickleball, soccer, and snowboarding.
